Suzanne Wheeler began her career in management in the non-profit sector where she spent 10 years working for the YMCA. Her last 3 years were spent as the Executive Director of a Metropolitan Los Angeles YMCA branch. During that time Ms. Wheeler was recognized each of her 3 years as an Executive Director with the YMCA Executive Roundtable Award for her excellence in fiscal management, marketing, client retention, and overall program growth. To complement her non-profit background, Ms. Wheeler obtained her M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 1996. She received her B.S. in Recreation Administration with an American Humanics certification in Non-Profit Management from Arizona State University in 1986. Ms. Wheeler has worked in management in the forensic consulting industry since 1996. She has been responsible for financial operations of Biomechanics Research & Consulting, Inc. and Vector Scientific, Inc. Recently, Ms. Wheeler has assumed the day-to-day operating responsibilities of VSI as Chief Operating Officer.
Personal
Suzanne Wheeler was born in Phoenix, AZ and still loves the hot desert heat. She resides with her husband Jeff and their three boys (Dylan, Luke & Jack) in Golden, CO. Suzanne is involved with the Parent-Teacher Partnership at her boys' school where she serves as the Treasurer and Fundraising Chair. She has also spent the last 10 years involved in the leadership of Community Bible Study (CBS) and has spent the last two years as the Associate Teaching Director teaching/lecturing to approximately 75-100 women. Suzanne spends her spare time watching her boys play hockey, basketball, baseball, and football games and chauffeuring them to their practices. When she finds time away from her busy jobs at VSI and as mom, she enjoys running, golfing, horseback riding, reading and watching sports with her house full of boys.
