Biomechanical Engineer
Steven G. Storvik received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2008 and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University in 2011.
While at Marquette University Mr. Storvik specialized in biomechanics and conducted research in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Mr. Storvik’s thesis research project investigated human lumbar response to dynamic axial loading specifically related to military ejection seat injuries.
His research experience includes biomechanics of spine injuries, experimental crashworthiness, computational rigid body modeling, 3-D motion capture, and epidemiology of injuries.
Mr. Storvik is currently a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
Personal
Steve was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he valued spending time with family, playing basketball with friends, and volunteering at City on a Hill. His summers included fishing and wakeboarding on Spencer Lake in Waupaca, Wisconsin.
In September 2010, Steve married his beautiful wife Aneta, and together they share the same passion in servant leadership. Now, as a Colorado transplant, Steve looks forward to snowboarding on some of the best slopes in the United States.
