Computer animations
are routinely developed in order to communicate complex sequences
of events
and/or display elements
affected by the incident that may be invisible by any other
means. 3D models provide a
third dimensional view of the scene and allow the scene to
be recreated from various
viewpoints, including those of eyewitnesses, participants,
and also from overhead perspectives. By superimposing computer-generated
3D models into actual photographic scenes, we are able to create
animated reconstructions of accidents.
